Inspiration

My photography is inspired by The City Of Liverpool.

Liverpool has a unique blend of Architectural styles, different Cultures And holds a variety of great events.

 

Objective

The objective of my work is to raise money and awareness for Bloodwise a charity formerly known as Leukaemia And Lymphoma Research.

 

Pretty Women And Liverpool II

I have had the privilege of photographing local female models and dancers in Liverpool. Venue Managers never charged for the use of premises.

The girls posed voluntary; make up artists volunteered to help as well.

“Tagging” the girls, make up artists, and venues in my photographs on social media, has drawn more attention the objective of my photography. The popularity of Pretty Women And Liverpool encouraged my to produce Pretty Woman And Liverpool II.

Presentation Concept

9 pictures on the display screens form part of Pretty Woman II. The remainder of images on the display screens depict subjects related to Liverpool’s Waterfront and The River Mersey.

The presentation on tables are a variety of different topics that makes The City Of Liverpool very special.

Brief

The objective of the shoot was to raise awareness for @Bloodwise_uk

I am an official supporter of #Bloodwise_uk Top model Toni Waterson has agreed to become “The Face Of My Work”.

Pictures are taken in Liverpool alongside popular landmarks and inside well known interiors. I had photographed architecture for many years and wanted to add a new dimension to my work, highlighting the charity I support to a greater audience.

The more “tags” I generate, “likes” and favourites I receive from Social Media, the more attention is drawn to the charity I support.

In Photographs on Central Library Balcony St Johns Beacon and St Georges Hall are shown in the background and the green folage from the trees in St Johns Gardens.

The interior images (Further below) were taken in The Hornby Library.

Sefton Park Palm House Interior

Top model Toni Waterson agreed to pose for me voluntary to raise awareness for #bloodwise_uk that I am an official supporter of. I chose Sefton Park Palm House for the shoot because of the interiors picturesque natural beauty using the green foliage as a backdrop and how effective the natural light can be coming through the  windows.

The Palm House is a very popular venue with Liverpool people. I want to raise awareness for #Bloodwise_uk by highlighting my work to many audiences on social media and future exhibitions.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and use a chaperone, who helps and assists me with my photography. My chaperone drives me to the venue, helps me set up equipment and pushes my wheelchair.

Model

Toni Waterson kindly posed voluntary for my charity assignment.

Toni has now modelled for me a number of times for my charity assignments, and is also very creative on the shoots, she is a privilege to photograph. #respect

Top model Toni Waterson agreed to pose for me voluntary to raise awareness for the charity I am an official supporter of. I chose  Grovsnor Casino Leo, Liverpool, because it is a popular vibrant Liverpool venue. Photographs also include roulette wheels and a card table, a more creative  approach was also applied on the shoot using light coming through a window for a dreamlike atmosphere.

As part of shoot Model is also Holding Charity Bloodwise Flags and labels.

BACKGROUND TO PROJECT

Pretty Woman And Liverpool II is about models posed alongside the 

Merseyside Backdrop or interiors. 

I would like to use these pictures in an exhibition to raise money and

awareness for Bloodwise and hope that someone sponsors

I would like thank the girls who posed did not charge for model hire,

as well as make up and stylists involved who gave up their time,

allowing me to give more to Leukaemia And Lymphoma Research.  I would like to thank all girls involved in this on-going project. 

I want to make people aware of the fact that Merseyside ladies are 

very attractive and always “dress to impress” and are also very

supportive and helpful.

I have added girls wearing cultural dress to my project to inject 

diversity in previous shoots eg Samba Dancers
